Bruce’s career in the financial services industry began over 39 years ago with Atlantic Mutual on
Wall Street, and then on to Metropolitan Life (Met Life) where he specialized in estate planning,
management and marketing from 1972 to 1984. As a result of his highly regarded reputation, Bruce
established a loyal following in the business insurance, estate planning, and investment world.
Today, Bruce is the President of BJ Associates, founded in 1984, and is an Investment Advisor
Representative with LPL Financial. His certifications include: insurance license in Life, Health and
Accident, as well as the following investment registrations in Series 7 and Series 65. His client base
is spread all over the country and is licensed in over 25 states. With the professional designations,
Chartered Life Underwriting (CLU), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), from the American College,
he brings to our client base a diverse background and expertise within the financial services industry.
Additionally, he is the past President of the local Life Underwriters Association and served as an
instructor and fellow for the Life Underwriters Training Council.
As a father of 6 children from his first wife who passed away and remarriage, to Jennifer Walton with
her three children, the combined family of 9 children is certainly one of his crowning achievements.
Bruce’s very special passion is with Special Needs children, adults and their families. Having a
Special Needs daughter himself, now age 36 and a business partner who also has a daughter with
special needs, the expertise in planning and understanding the issues with this sensitive subject is
well known. Bruce is always active in church, community and civic opportunities. As an active member
in his church, he has served in a number of positions including: teacher, scoutmaster, counselor,
chairman, president of priesthood quorums, and most recently as an early morning seminary teacher for
high school students. Currently he is the 1st Counselor to the Bishop of the Morristown NJ congregation.
